Gerd Kortemeyer

Gerd Kortemeyer is the Director of the department of Educational Development and Technology at ETH Zurich. His specialist areas are:

• Usage of technology in STEM education


• Formative Assessment


• Learning Content Management


• Educational Data Mining and Learning Analytics

In 1993 he received his Diploma Physics at the University of Hanover. In 1997 he received his Ph.D. Physics at Michigan State University. There he worked initially as an Educational Technology Specialist and eventually as Associate Professor of Physics Education.
